My name is Jonathan Cauldwell and back in the late 1980s I began writing games for the ZX Spectrum computer. Several were published, the most famous of which were probably Egghead and Egghead to the Rescue, which appeared on Crash powertapes in 1990. The ZX Spectrum died as a mainstream games machine in 1993 but if you owned one of these machines in the years leading up to that time, the chances are you've played at least one of my early games. I can only apologise for that and hope that the experience didn't scar you for life...
Until recently I was still producing games for the machine, churning out titles over a period of three decades to become the most prolific Spectrum developer of all time with over fifty titles. I am also responsible for Arcade Game Designer (Spectrum and CPC) and Multi Platform Arcade Game Designer, a Windows x64 tool for developing 8-bit games. Between them these utilities have been responsible for hundreds of titles in recent years. Both are still supported despite the fact that I am no longer part of the Spectrum scene, it's the least I can do after getting so many users hooked on these tools. I also have dozens of games from my back catalogue to upload here - sometimes with an occasional tweak you won't have seen - you'll just have to keep checking back here from time to time as updates won't be announced on scene websites.
