Type-in Listings
A downloadable Type-in Listings
Back in the 1980s one way to increase the number of games you had for your home computer if you were on a budget (and most of us were and still are) was to purchase a magazine that printed program listings, type them in manually and save them to tape.
Some were better than others. We remembered the names of the good authors and typed in each new game listing from a trusted source with glee - Anthony Sherwood is a name I shall always remember for the BASIC tricks his Sinclair Programs listings taught me.
Going back to BASICs, I thought I'd write a few fun simple games and publish them as type-in listings, just for fun/educational purposes. So here they are. Sinclair BASIC games written by a professional and no stinkers.
I'll probably add more over time so keep checking back once in a while.

Assuming these are screenshots - I've typed in the Adder listing but getting a variable not found from the very first line (10)?
You need to read the instructions text file to learn how to run it. It will be RUN nnn where nnn is the line number. Just typing RUN doesn't work because the initialisation code is at the end to speed things up.
Ah, I did not read the instructions of course but I did figure out it ran from line 800 (although it is not loading the UDG?!). The controls are a fun spin on up, down, left and right. Will check my code again for errors.
Excellent! Please keep posting new listings!
very good
oh love this idea as someone finally learning BASIC!
I love the format chosen for your listings: PNG files
Excellent! Basic Fans Time!!
